I send out my deepest condolences to Joann, Jason, Chauncey, Rosemary and especially to my oldest and treasured friend, Jayne, and their families at this trying time. Jim and Charlotte, Doris and Jack Boggs were a significant part of my life as I was growing up in Glen Falls in the 1960s. They were my next door neighbors, but as anyone from that time and place know, we were all one big extended family. We shared good times and bad, helped one another, and were a consolidated, loving community : something someone from my generation has come to cherish and truly feel lucky to have experienced in this all so different world we live in today. Even from afar and over 40 years later, I still look back with nostalgia and much tender love to the time Jayne and I grew up together like brother and sister. I will always remember Jim as someone smiling, making jokes, laughing and thank him and his family for always making me feel part of a close-knit extended family. Doris was a pillar of our community and was like a grandmother to me. Charlotte, whose funeral service I was fortunate enough to attend, was unseparable from Jim. You could never mention Jim without Charlotte; they just went together, a sign of their deep love for each other. My fond memories of Jim include the time when he and my dad volunteered to cook Easter sunrise services breakfast together, or when he decided to take up learning how to play the banjo to pass the time while he was convelescing. I will miss his wisecracks, easy smile, and especially not being there to say my final goodbye. His absence marks us deeply and he will be remembered with heart-warming love and a thankfulness for knowing a good man who served his country, loved his family, and always had time for a friend.

I have known Charlotte and Jim for many years and I am saddened to hear of Jim's passing but at the same time I am celebrating his life and that he and Charlotte are together again. Jim was a very dear friend and co-worker with my Dad, Bud Snopps. Their friendship meant a great deal to one another and it was always a treat when Jim came for a visit. They would sit together after my Dad retired and tell stories or just sit and BS a while. My Prayers are with you all as you say Good-bye to your Dad. We will all truly miss him. Farewell Jim Boggs, Rest in Peace and enjoy the celebration of the reunion with the love of your life, Charlotte

I remember this gentleman coming into the landfill quite often where I used to work on 19. He always had one of his little furry babies with him when he came in. One time he stepped out to pay and when he went to get back into the drivers seat they had left him a present on the seat and he sat right in it. He only laughed about it. Always greeted me with a smile when he came in and left. He was a very kind man, I am sorry for your loss. I will never forget him.
