Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. where a service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with speaker Eric Smith. Mrs. Caldwell will be cremated following the service. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Kathryn Louise “Katie” Caldwell, 86, of Fairmont, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center.

 

She was born in Green Valley, WV on July 25, 1933, a daughter of the late Perry Franklin and Susie Prince Crouse.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Walter G. Caldwell.

 

Mrs. Caldwell is survived by her two sisters; Margaret Crouse Smith of Shinnston and Rebecca “Becky” Crouse Tennant and husband Alan of Elkins as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

She is also preceded in death by her stepson, Walter G. Caldwell Jr.; brothers; Roy Crouse and Glen Smith; brother-in-law, Donald Smith; and sister Maxine Morrison.

 

Katie retired from F.M.C. after twenty years. She loved country music and was an avid crafter.
