Linda Lou Moran, age 84, of Waxhaw, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026.

She was born on February 27, 1942, to the late Kenneth Mayfred Metcalf and Margaret Frey Metcalf. Linda lived a life defined by compassion, dedication, and service to others. She devoted over 30 years of her career to the Harrison County Board of Education, where she worked as a school health nurse. Through her work, she touched countless lives, caring for generations of students with kindness and professionalism. In recent years, Linda shared her home with her daughter, Vanessa and found great joy in crafting, especially painting.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald “Bozo” Moran (2001), and her son-in-law, Roger Dwayne Wilmoth (2023).

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Vanessa Stewart of Waxhaw, North Carolina; Aimee Moran (Jeff Daugherty) of Clarksburg, West Virginia; and Kelly Wilmoth of Winfield, West Virginia. She is also survived by her brother, Richard H. Metcalf (Kim Wherley) of Fairmont, West Virginia, along with three grandchildren and five great- grandchildren who will continue to carry forward her legacy of love and strength.

A graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Clarksburg, West Virginia at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31 with Father Patsy Iaquinta presiding.
