Family and Friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV, on Monday, May 16, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.   The funeral service will be held at the United Methodist Temple, 665 Locust Avenue, Clarksburg, WV, on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dustin McCune presiding. Mrs. Heater will lie in state one hour prior to the service.   Interment will follow in the WV National Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the United Methodist Temple, 665 Locust Avenue, Clarksburg, WV 26301.

Luanne Murphy Heater, 66, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on May 14, 2016, at the United Hospital Center, following a sudden illness.

 

She was born in Clarksburg, WV, on March 24, 1950, a daughter of the late Melvin Murphy, Sr. and Wilma McKinney Murphy.

 

Luanne married Robert Allen Heater on August 24, 1968, who resides at their residence.

 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Tracy Thompson and her husband Mark of Clarksburg and Tammy Clark and her husband Randy of Shinnston; four grandchildren, R.J. Currey, Haley Currey, Hannah Clark and Ethan Clark. Also surviving are four siblings, Thomas Murphy of Akron, OH, Dorothy Rader of Bridgeport, Harry Murphy and his wife Rose of Clarksburg and Terry Holby and her husband Kenny of Clarksburg; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Ella Jean Pritchard, Darlene Saunders, Lavern Murphy, Sandra Foltz and Melvin Murphy, Jr.

 

Luanne was a graduate of Victory High School Class of 1968 and was an Office Manager for State Farm for over 20 years.

 

Mrs. Heater was a member of the United Methodist Temple where she was very active in the choir, youth group, Sunday School Teacher, and served on the Board of Trustees. She loved working the kitchen for any and all activities the church would have. She also loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and her family. She loved Christmas, snowmen, and the Disney Channel.
