Gabe, I am so sorry about your father's passing. I planned on coming to the viewing and wanted to tell you in person how sorry we all are. You are a wonderful young man, no doubt this is due to his influence as well as your mom's . Please know we would love to have you come by anytime. We miss you here on Long Street! PS I didn't make to see you as we made an emergency run to WVU with a grandchild having a very bad reaction. He's fine and home now.

There are a lot of Fresas in this world but we love each and every one of them. This loss is one that we did not expect nor do we comprehend it. Michael was a special guy who took it upon himself to help others to cope in this world. He will be missed.

Gabriel I am so sorry for your loss, I myself am having such a hard time with Michaels passing. Your dad was an amazing man, amazing son, and an amazing friend to me. He was my lighthouse in my storm and I had many. He always seemed to know when I needed him most. We had amazing times together, I'm trying my best to make memories blessings. Like I said on the phone I just had lunch with him Tuesday I'm so glad I was able to kiss his cheek ... never in my wildest dream would I ever think that I would never do that again. Several memories I'd love to share with you.. one day your dad had this bright idea to take me out on the boat now Michael knew that I was a girly girl, up until that day I think he enjoyed that. I was 15 minutes late to the ramp he was sitting in the boat with it banging against the dock. You should have seen his face when I asked him if I should bring my purse! After I got on the boat I made him go slow because I didn't want to get my hair wet... I think he was smiling or maybe he was gritting his teeth! After that outing he text me.." I can't see you anymore you're too much of a girlie girl" .. it broke my heart he later text me and ask for forgiveness and ask me out again! Another memory I wanted to go to see my team the Tampa Bay Rays they were giving a bobblehead Kevin Kiermaier your dad went with me he made friends of course with the couple next to us older couple.. now we know your dad wasnt a big baseball fan so I told him that we won the World Series.. jokingly!! He asked what year I told him I didn't know so he leaned over to the older woman next to him and ask her. I started cracking up laughing she said we've never been to the World Series! He turned around and gave me the biggest kiss ever told me I was in big trouble.. I laughed all the way home. I'm going to miss him, his calls and texts to me. . We both were figuring out what we both wanted.. unfortunately I think I realized too late. On a brighter note he was so proud of you he showed me pictures of you the day we had lunch.. you actually called him while we were having lunch you could see the pride all over his face and of course that beautiful smile of his! He loved your grandmother as well took such good care of her worried about her constantly. Every Day brings tears for me I'm hoping they will subside one day. Heaven must have needed another fisherman.

Michael was a great guy with a big smile and personality to match. I saw him several times over the past several years as he came out to enjoy music and say hello. He made it a point to talk every time....He was a good friend and an even better person. Condolences from Mel and I to the family, we simply cant believe he is gone. Bill Dowdell

Don't be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before we can meet again. And meeting again, after moments of a lifetime, is certain for those who are friends. ~Richard Bach This isn't goodbye Mike, this is just, "I'll be seeing you later..." ?? Much love, peace and comfort to your family and friends during this most difficult time. Love always, Barb Navarini-Higgins Class of 1980 Notre Dame High School
