Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Tuesday, from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 26, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Jerome Lewis presiding.   Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Norma Grogg Haymond, 95, of Nutter Fort, WV, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019, at the Bridgeport Health Care Center, following an extended illness.

 

She was born in Lewis County, on March 20, 1924, a daughter of the late Opha J. and Mary Wilt Grogg and the foster daughter of the late F. Fields and Helda McWhorter.

 

Her husband, Zane Forest Haymond, who she married on August 9, 1951, preceded her in death.

 

Mrs. Haymond is survived by her children, Forrest Haymond and wife Diana of Lost Creek, Ronald Haymond of Nutter Fort; her daughter-in-law, Vanessa Haymond of Clarksburg; seven grandchildren, Christopher Criss of Enterprise, Jenna Robey and husband Matthew of Bridgeport, Hampton Haymond of Clarksburg, Forrest F. “Bo” Haymond II and his companion, Hannah Cummings of Lost Creek, MacKenzie Haymond of Lost Creek, Zachery Rollins of Auburn, WV, and Justin Rollins of Great Falls, MT; six great-grandchildren, JoAnna Criss, MaKenna Robey, Dominic Robey, Garrett Haymond, Jacob Rollins and Hannah Rollins; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Donna Criss and husband Michael Criss; two sons, David Lynn Haymond and John Haymond; and seven brothers and sisters, Harold Grogg, Bertram Grogg, Russell Grogg, Mason Grogg, Jim Grogg, Evelyn Grogg and Sharon Wilson.

 

Norma was a member of the Stonewood Missionary and Alliance Church and had worked for Mother Goose Land.  She enjoyed working in the yard and baking, but above all loved her family.
