In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Rawlings will be cremated. Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. where a memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. to celebrate Sherry’s life. Sherry will be reunited with her husband and returned to nature with love and tenderness by her family in St. Augustine, FL, at a later date.

Sherry Lynne McClung Rawlings, 65, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the United Hospital Center.

Sherry was born in Clarksburg, WV, on February 11, 1961, the daughter of the late Donald and Marguerite Cutright McClung.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mark Rawlings, whom she was married to for over 35 years before his passing.

She is survived by her two children, Kara West and her husband Robert “Conrad” West III of Charlotte, NC, and Noah Rawlings of Clarksburg; three grandchildren, Fletcher and Sullivan West and Zoey Rawlings; four siblings, Donna McClung, Thomas McClung and his wife Roberta, Robert McClung and his wife Cassie, and Phyllis Forcucci and her husband James; special nieces, Erin Clevenger and Jocelyn Bibbee, as well as several other nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Thomas Rawlings and his wife Patty; and sister-in-law, Pamela Allen and her husband John.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her beloved fur baby, her dog Mohawk Rawlings.

Sherry was a graduate of Liberty High School Class of 1979. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Wheeling University formerly known as Wheeling Jesuit University. She was a retired United Methodist Minister having served at multiple churches. She worked as an office administrator for Hobart Sales and Service for over 25 years. She served as youth leader and a certified lay speaker for the former United Methodist Christ Church. She was a member of Duff Street United Methodist Church.

Sherry will be remembered for her dedication to the Lord as well as people. She never hesitated to welcome those in need with her warmth and giving spirit. She loved her work and especially enjoyed planning various church events and spending time with parishioners. In her free time, she liked to bake and had a love of pandas.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Rawlings will be cremated.
