Cynthia and Family, “My heart goes out to you and your family. Ronnie was a very kind person. I remember his walks at the mall, he would always stop and talk, enjoyed him very much. Always had a smile. God Bless, Love- Sharon Anderson

My papaw was one of the best there ever was. Many may have seen him as a quiet man, but to those who had the privilege of really knowing him, he was anything but quiet. He was hilarious (or at least he thought he was), and was always cracking the best jokes. One of his longest running jokes had to be accusing me of liking frog legs. Those who were REALLY lucky may have even gotten to hear him yodel, which was really a sight to be seen. He was also so incredibly smart. He had a memory like no other, recalling every detail about just about every person he had ever met. He loved talking about the past, and could truly talk your ear off for hours. He raised a beautiful garden with every vegetable you can imagine. I have such special memories of him teaching my brother, Coleton, and I how to garden, and then “jarring” the vegetables with my Mamaw. My brother and I spent every single weekend at Mamaw and Papaw’s house growing up, building the most beautiful memories that I hold so dear to my heart. I have been so blessed to have grandparents like them. As heartbroken as I am to see my Papaw go, I am so thankful for the almost 27 years I spent with him, and I am glad he is home now, living in the Ole Buttermilk Sky.
