In keeping with her wishes, Miss Holyfield will be cremated.   A memorial service will be held at the First Church of God, 332 Monticello Avenue, Clarksburg, WV 26301 on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Michael Holyfield officiating.

Danita Kay Holyfield, 47, of Clarksburg, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019 at her residence.

 

She was born in Philippi, WV on September 28, 1971, a daughter of the late Liston Holyfield. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Dannie Jones Holyfield Kates and Willie Kates, who reside in Huntington, WV.

 

In addition to her mother, she is also survived by three sons, Jermiah “Frank” Holyfield, Tyrin “Ty” Holyfield and Dashawn Holyfield, all of Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Tyriana Ja’Kaylee Holyfield, Majik Anmarie Justice Holyfield, Kyrin Jamal Holyfield and Kaylee Renee Holyfield; one sister, Michelle Biggs and her husband Julius of Omaha, NE; three nieces, Makayla Biggs, Julisha Biggs, and A’Keema Biggs; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; and her good friends Tina Pride, Karolyn Davis and Eddie Garrett.

 

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Tenisha Chantelle Renee Lee Holyfield.

 

Miss Holyfield was a member of the Maggie L. Walker Elks Lodge #738 in Beckley, WV and was a member of the First Church of God on Monticello Avenue, Clarksburg. She was a pillar of the community, having conducted many community events, and was the business owner of “Puddies”.

 

In keeping with her wishes, Miss Holyfield will be cremated.

 

A memorial service will be held at the First Church of God, 332 Monticello Avenue, Clarksburg, WV 26301 on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Michael Holyfield officiating.
