Herbert “Herb” Wade Kendall, of Clarksburg, West Virginia, passed away on September 28, 2026.

Herb was a fun-loving, friendly man who never took life too seriously. With his quick wit and a well-timed sarcastic remarks, he could put a smile on anyone’s face. He was a well-known prankster, and nothing made him happier than making people laugh.

He adored his daughter and his three granddaughters and never missed a chance to tease them.

In his younger years, Herb worked as a truck driver and later as a manager for several casket companies, including Clarksburg Casket Company in Shinnston, WV. Over the course of his career, he built warm and lasting friendships with the local funeral directors.

Herb was preceded in death by his mother Hazel Kendall, his father Darrell Kendall and cousin, Lora Kellar. He is survived by his daughter Kiley Michelle Wagner, his granddaughters Genna Wagner, Tori Wagner and Emma Cross and his cousin, Barbara Kellar of Texas, along with many other family members, friends and neighbors who loved him dearly. His memory will live on in all who knew him.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation services will take place.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home.
