Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 4, 2020 with Pastor Fred Aves officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Delores “June” Pinion, of Clarksburg, WV died Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loved ones following a long battle of Alzheimer’s.

 

Born May 30, 1933, June grew up in the Katy Lick community with her mother, Mildred Ross, and beloved aunts. She is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Pinion, whom she wed on June 27, 1953. June was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, sister and caregiver.

 

June is survived by one daughter, Terri Pinion Johnson and her husband Don of Clarksburg; three sons, Joe Pinion and his wife Jeanie of Summersville, South Carolina, Billy Pinion and his wife Cathy of Fair Play, South Carolina, and Shane Pinion and his wife Rebecca of Clarksburg.

 

Also surviving, her beloved grandchildren, Megan Bates and her husband Greg of Charleston, South Carolina, LeAnna Pinion of Clarksburg, Brittany Kemmerer and her husband Brian of Bridgeport, Savana Skasik and her husband Kurt of Bridgeport, Arianna Pinion of Clarksburg, Jeremy Pinion of Fair Play, South Carolina, Cassidy Pinion of Clarksburg, Kylie Pinion of Clarksburg, Casey Shaw of West Union and Darrien Hill of Fairmont; 10 great-grandchildren, Nyjiah Pettrey, Luceia Pettrey, Leo Pettrey, Penelope Kemmerer, Beau Kemmerer, Josi Kemmerer, Graham Skasik, Wesley Bates, Micah Shaw, and Jordan Shaw; several loving nieces and nephews; and one sister, Sheila Matheny and her husband John of Shinnston.

 

Mrs. Pinion was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Prine of Clarksburg, whom she dearly loved and cared for for many years.

 

She loved spending time with her family, and her cat, Toby. June also enjoyed playing bingo and tending to her flowers. In the summertime, you could find her sitting on her porch, drinking an ice cold can of Coke.

 

Her witty personality and sweet nature will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her.
