Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday, March 30th from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, March 31st from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. The service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation with Pastor Brian Boley and Pastor Bob King presiding. Per his request, he will be cremated following the service.

Frederick Roy “Fred” Waldren, 68, of Anmoore, WV, passed away on March 27, 2017, at his home, after an extended illness.

 

He was born on February 28, 1949, in Clarksburg, to the late Fred Waldren and Shirley Maxine Shingleton McClain. He was the stepson of the late Edward B. McClain.

 

He was married to his best friend and love of his life, Mildred “Bunny” Kallel Waldren on January 27, 1973.

 

He is also survived by four children, Fred Waldren and wife Darlene of Chattanooga, TN, Tonya McCloud of Marietta, OH, Deanna McNemar and husband Roy of Lost Creek and Michael “Eddie” Waldren and wife Hyunjung “Kim” of Clarksville, TN; three grandchildren, Austin, Angelica, and Abby; one sister, Sharon Arvia of Rossville, GA; as well as several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his four-legged companion, Jake.

 

He was preceded in death along with his parents by one sister, Anna Waldren Chadwell and son-in-law, Larry McCloud.

 

He worked in maintenance for Clarksburg Housing Authority for 13 years and was an over the road truck driver for 18 years.

 

Fred was a member of the Monroe Chapel United Methodist Church of Romines Mill, and was strong in his faith never missing an opportunity to witness to others. He was an avid Mountaineer and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

 

The family extends a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice and an extra special thank you to his two nurses Keith and Amy, his aide Ashley who he referred to as “his girl”, and Dr. A. Sabbagh.

 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Monroe Chapel UMC building fund, 773 Bisetown Road, Lost Creek, WV 26385 or Pet Helpers, Inc., 726 East Park Avenue, PMB311, Fairmont, WV 26554.
