Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm with Reverend Brian Boley officiating.   In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Grimes will be cremated following the funeral service.

Glenna M. Price Grimes, 69, of Clarksburg passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family following an extended illness.

 

She was born in Wallace on December 31, 1949, a daughter of the late Otha Glen and Ebesteine Davis Morris.

 

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Gary Grimes, whom she married on August 28, 1982.

 

Also surviving are two sons, Robert Price of Clarksburg and Trevor Grimes and his wife Leslie Wright of Buckhannon; grandchildren, Raya Myers, Nicholas Munro, Grayson Grimes of Buckhannon, Miranda Lazorick and her husband Michael of Fairmont, Victoria Price of Clarksburg and Brittany Lubawski of Felton, PA; great grandchildren, Michael “Tre” Lazorick, Bronson Lazorick, Timothy “Bubby” Bond Jr.; brothers, Glen Price of Arizona, Bob Price of Nevada, Jimmy Price of Knoxville, Tennessee, Michael Norris of Orlando, Florida, and Danny Morris and wife Teresa of Gainesville, Florida; sisters, Doris Cross of Buckhannon,; sister-in-law, Martha Griffith of Clarksburg, her best friend, Becky Baker of Shinnston; her step-mother, Mary Donaldson and husband-Donald “Tub” Donaldson; and her nephew Robert Luchuck and husband Terry Swiger; and several additional nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her sons, Christopher Price and Richard Price, Jr.; daughter, Angela Price; and her sister, Sue Price.

 

Mrs. Grimes was a 1967 graduate of Lumberport High School. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and volunteered at the Veteran’s hospital along with the VFW and was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary. She loved playing Bingo and reading Romance novels.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Grimes will be cremated following the funeral service.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Morgantown, 841 Country Club Drive, Morgantown, WV 26505.
