Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison St, Nutter Fort on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Pastor Johnson will lie in state from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Lost Creek Church of God, 697 E Main St, Lost Creek, WV 26385, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 am with Pastor Ronnie Beeson presiding. Interment will follow in the Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery.

Dear Johnson family, Angie and I are very sorry for your loss. Jimmie Joe was a great encouragement to us when we arrived to Broad Street UMC, and remained so until his passing. We loved him, and he will be missed tremendously! But, we who are believers in Jesus Christ have the blessed assurance that we will see him again on the other side! Thanks be to God!

Rev. Jj is a wonderful man, I am so sorry for your loss of he and Melba. Both were wonderful people who served Jesus well. They both hold a special place in my heart. Sending prayers for peace and comfort during this difficult time.
