Sylvia, David, Katrina and Daniel, We are so saddened to hear of Sam's passing. We have thought of him often and his sweet gentle ways. Especially when we needed shoes repaired. Sam was the very best in everything he did. A true man of God. We know you will miss him deeply, and that you will see him again. He is worshipping at the feet of Jesus and free from and illness or pain he may have had. God Bless you with His comfort and peace. Ron and Linda

Sylvia and Family, My heart felt sympathy is extended to you at this time. You were an important part of my church family while I lived in WV and you remained in my thoughts and prayers after I moved and my thoughts and prayers for you continue now. May God give you all the comfort and peace you need and fill you with the blessed assurance that we will all be together again with our Savior for eternity. Sam was always such a gentle and caring gentleman and many times I sought his advice and assistance with my shoe issues. As a leader in our church he set a wonderful example of Jesus' love, mercy and kindness to me and others. It was a honor to know him and all of you and to consider you my friends. Donna

Sylvia and Family, Our prayers are with you during this difficult time. We were out of town when we heard the news, so unable to attend the viewing. You were on my mind last week. Sam was and is a great, loving and kind man of God. He is now enjoying life on the other side. Our love and prayers to you Sylvia and family.

Sylvia, David, Katrina, Daniel ~ All my memories of Sam are of a guileless man who exemplified Galatians 5:22-23. He showed us how to love and serve our Lord, our families, and our "neighbors". I have missed him, and all of you. May peace from our Heavenly Father fill your hearts. You are in my thoughts and prayers. ~ Paul

Dear Aunt Sylvia, David, Katrina, Daniel and the rest of la Bordo famiglia, please accept my deepest condolences on Uncle Sam's transition back to God. When I first heard this news, I instantly had a mental picture of a youthful and well Uncle Sam, running with outstretched arms to our smiling and laughing Heavenly Father who was running to receive him with outstretched arms and saying as he held him, "Here you are..... well done!" I remember Uncle Sam's true interest if I was warm enough as he was driving my family home from church on a childhood visit to Clarksburg . I remember his sincere interest in my visit to Pearl Harbor several years ago. What a loving, precious, and humble soul he was to all who were blessed to know him during his earthly tenure, including me. Uncle Sam is one of those rare folks who truly appropriated in to his life everything it means to be a true Christian on earth; all actions motivated by the Love of Christ. What a legacy to leave until the rest of us turn in our earthly tents and claim our permanent citizenship in Heaven. My deep and abiding love, affection, and respect to all of you during this profound time of grief. Angie

Dearest Sylvia and Family. We send you our love and tell you that we are joining our prayers with all the hundred others who are praying. May GOD surround you with His Loving Care, His assurance that all is well. Though Sam is with JESUS, we will miss his presence so much. We see that there will be private services, so we would like to visit with you the next time we visit in West Virginia. Again we remind you how much you and your whole family are deeply loved. It is with sincere love Alan and I send you our thoughts and prayers. We know Sam is a man of God whose Godly principals would never be compromised. Sam 'fixed many souls' in his work here on Earth. We are aware of his love for his beautiful and faithful wife and children. Sam served the Church as Gods humble servant as long as we knew him. Sylvia, what a wonderful and Godly wife you have been. You have been the inspiration for all the ladies who have watched you over the years. We have learned much from you, such as having a reverence for our husbands. God bless you as you walk through the days ahead. Our love and prayers to all the family. Alan & Judy
