Samuel Lee Bordo, age 81, of Clarksburg departed this life Saturday, April 30, 2016 at his residence. He was born May 5, 1934 in Stonewood, a son of the late Louie Bordo and Catherine Marra Bordo. His wife, Sylvia Jean McClung Bordo, whom he married September 16, 1960, resides at their home in Clarksburg.

Also surviving are two sons, David Bordo and his wife Marcie of McMurray, PA, Daniel Bordo and his wife Debra of Pittsburgh, PA. One daughter, Katrina Sutton of Harrisonburg, VA. Eight grandchildren, Ethan Sutton, Emily Sutton, Elijah Sutton, Jocelyn Bordo, Maggie Bordo, Sam Bordo, Madeline Bordo, and Cole Bordo. Two brothers, John Bordo of Fairmont, and Louie Bordo and his wife Joan of Columbus, OH. Two sisters, Ann Gross of Stonewood, and Linda McGarvey of Williamsburg, KY along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bordo was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and James Bordo, and one sister, Rose Bordo.

Mr. Bordo was a United States Army Veteran having served his country in the Korean Conflict. He was owner and operator of Square Deal Shoe Shop for 70 years. He was a member of the Center Branch Assembly of God and the Gideons International.

Mr. Bordo has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Gideons International Camp, PO Box 2075 Clarksburg, WV 26302-2075.
