Dr. Fidler was our Department Chair when I was a new faculty member in Nursing in the early 1980s. I always remember her smile, contagious energy, and most especially, her willingness to challenge you to think deeply about issues. I have always had tremendous respect for her efforts in caring for patients at the Susan Dew Hoff Clinic and I know she will be missed greatly. Dr. Susan Leight

So sorry for your loss. Dr. Folder as I knew her was a great teacher of anatomy and physiology. I was a very young student nurse at Salem College in 1981 to 1983. She encouraged me daily to keep going. Many years later she continued to encourage me when faced with a serious medical diagnosis. She was a wonderful person who believed in each and everyone. May she rest peacefully knowing she made a difference!

Sr Rebecca inspired me to be the very best nurse possible. Her knowledge of anatomy and physiology and her superb teaching skills made those subjects easy to understand. Today I can still see her as she lectured. I have the greatest admiration of her as a person, and I love how she influenced my life. I think and talk about her more that any other educator I had in my lifetime. Thank you, Sister, for giving us your all. You are loved, and we mourn your death.

Aunt Barbara was one of kind. Who can forget the stories told and times spent as a family at one of the many family homes on the farm and her "competitive" nature while playing cards. Midnight masses, vegetable soup after church at Nana's, fishing on the farm with all the Sisters and the passion for Iowa and WVU football. I cannot be with you all, but send my love and respect for an amazing woman who led an extraordinary life and blessed us all for having known her.

On behalf of the Rice Family, we send our deepest condolences. Sister Fidler and my Mother, Martha E. Rice were good friends since my the time my Mother was was a teacher at Unidas High School in West Milford.
