Dear Vicki and Megan, I am so very sorry to hear that Billy passed away. We were in the same referee class and we go back a long way. We officiated dozens and dozens of games together and we always had a great time. He was a wonderful person and a great guy! You all are in my thoughts and my prayers. Donnie Kopp

Vicki and Megan, I’m so saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. Over the years I really grew to respect and like him a great deal. He helped me develop as a coach. As you already know he was a great man and I’m very proud to have called him a friend. I will truly miss seeing him at basketball games. Please know that you are in our prayers. Much love and sympathy. Dave and Michele Marshall

My condolences go out to you Vicki and Megan your loss. Even though we haven't been as close as we once were because of life's challenges I have always remembered the times growing up, spending time with him and family, playing games, and riding horses on the farm. Bill (Billy to me) always had a smile and his laughter was contagious. He will be missed by all the people that knew him. He left us with many memories to cherish until we meet again in Heaven. I can see him now celebrating with all the family that has gone ahead. Our Prayers for comfort are with you during the trying days you will face. Goodbye Cousin Billy we will miss you. I enjoyed having Bill officiate many of our football and basketball games over the years. He really loved working with the players and coaches. He was a class act. RIP my good friend. Retired Coach Dave Kyle Tucker County 1985-2016

Bill officiated basketball games for me at Pocahontas County High School for several years. Considering the meager compensation compared with the late night travel over Cheat Mountain, one must conclude that Bill loved the game and enjoyed working with young people. He was a dedicated, competent, and fun official to have on the court. I considered him a good friend. Coach Bob Sheets PCHS 1982-2012
