George R. McManus, 94, of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Clarksburg Nursing & Rehab Center.
He was born in Belpre, Ohio on November 8, 1928 the son of the late James Colman McManus and Berdine Mulligan McManus.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carroll Louise Whaley McManus whom he married on June 24, 1956.
He is survived by one son, James “Bob” McManus and wife Vicki of Jane Lew, WV, one daughter, Lisa McManus of Clarksburg, WV, three grandchildren; James “Jimmy” McManus and wife Melissa of Salem, WV, Christopher McManus of Clarksburg and Samantha Drake and Husband Dylan of Clarksburg, WV and two great grandsons; Aydin and Brennen McManus.
George was a graduate of Belpre High School, Belpre, Ohio and Marietta College and proudly served in the United States Army. He retired as a superintendent with Consolidated Gas.
