Edna Louise Hannah Gola, age 90, a resident of Clarksburg, WV, passed away April 13, 2024. She was born July 14, 1933, in Clarksburg, WV, daughter of the late Corbin G. Hannah and the late Jennie B. Buffington.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Lorenzo “Lawrence” Gola, whom she married in 1953.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, J. Marie Gola Ranck, of Martinsburg, WV; one son, Michael D. Gola, of Clarksburg, WV; two grandchildren, Tiffany Marie Gola Elder and husband John Paul of McMurray, PA and Shane Michael Ranck and wife Amanda of Stephens City, VA; nine great grandchildren, Abigail Grace, John Patrick “Jack”, James Paul, Joseph Pierce, Elizabeth Hope “Ellie”, Jude Phillip, Maria Faith Elder, of McMurray, PA, and Savannah Elizabeth and Sydney Alexis Ranck of Stephens City, VA. Also surviving are two half-sisters, Lynnette Hannah Reed and husband Lelon (Lonnie) of Apache Junction, AZ, and Lorraine Hannah Cole and husband Jeff of Thatcher, AZ; one sister-in-law, Janet Hannah Goodman of Snowflake, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

Louise is preceded in death by her former stepmother and dearest friend, Beth Carpenter Hannah Christenson, formerly of St. John’s, AZ; and half-brother, James P. Hannah, also of St. John’s.

She graduated from Victory High School in 1951. She worked 27 years for the VA Hospital Employees Federal Credit Union as assistant treasurer and later retired from the Harrison County Commission having worked as sec./receptionist for the WVU Harrison County Cooperative Extension Service for 5-1/2 years.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 12:30 pm in the Greenlawn Cemetery with the Rev. William L. “Bill” Coffindaffer officiating.
