Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm   Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2015 at 10:00 am the Pastor Rick Wyatt officiating.   Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery where full military graveside rites will be accorded.

David Allen Romano, 67, of Worley Avenue, Clarksburg, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at his home surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Clarksburg on July 18, 1948, a son of the late Patsy and Victoria Spadafore Romano.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy “Joey” Lopez Romano, whom he married on March 18, 1983, and son John Romano and his wife Brooke of Columbus, OH;  sons David Romano and his companion Elizabeth Keough of Clarksburg,  and Matthew Romano and his wife Nicole of Nutter Fort; six grandchildren; three sisters, Thelma Pulice, Rose Marie Santarelli and Virginia Brancaleone, all of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Patsy Romano; and one sister, Linda Romano.

David is a United States Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War earning several medals, including two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart.  He is a retired mail handler with the United States Postal Service with 17 years of service.  David attended the Bethel Temple.
