A private burial service will be held in the West Virginia National Cemetery.

Christa Martha Bohon, 80, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026, and went home to be with the Lord.
Born on May 25, 1946, in Pirmasens, Germany, Christa was the youngest of three daughters. She married the love of her life, Harry Bohon, on December 2, 1982. Together, they raised Harry’s son, Clifford, and enjoyed 40 years of love, laughter, and adventure. As a military family, they were stationed in Germany and across several locations stateside before Harry’s retirement in 1992.
Following their retirement in 1992, the couple made their home in Horseshoe Run until 2006, when they relocated to Clarksburg. Christa achieved a proud milestone in 2018 when she became a United States citizen. She remained devoted to Harry until his passing following a serious illness in 2022.
Christa was preceded in death by her parents, who passed between 1980 and 2002, and her older sister, Renate, in 1994. She is survived by her sister, Monica; her niece, Andrea; as well as several other nieces, nephews, and a host of cherished family and friends who will miss her dearly.
