Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Shingleton presiding. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Kathryn Ann “Kathy” Malfregeot, 68, of Bridgeport, WV, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the United Hospital Center, following a brief illness.
She was born in Clarksburg, on December 24, 1957, a daughter of the late Joseph John Jenkins and the late Betty Bayne Jenkins Chipps.
Kathryn is survived by her brother, John Jenkins and wife Sheila of Bridgeport, and three sisters, Linda Jean Jenkins of Clarksburg, Joyce Greaver and husband John of Bridgeport, and Robin Monroe and husband Jim of Port Royal, VA; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her previous husband, J.B. Malfregeot.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Justin Michael Malfregeot; one brother, Michael Jenkins, and half-brother, John John Chipps.
Kathryn was a graduate of Liberty High School class of 1976 and was the former owner of the Chatter Box Restaurant. She retired from the Prawn Broker’s Restaurant with 15 years of service.
She attended Jewel City Church, enjoyed shopping, and watching movies. She loved her dog, “Sam” and will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Kathy and her son, Justin, spent many years residing in Fort Myers, Florida. She had several close friends who became like family to her. She especially enjoyed the annual siblings visit and going to Sanibel Island.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the Emergency Department and Kathy’s Critical Care Team at United Hospital Center for the outstanding care they provided to Kathy, as well as their kindness to the family.
