Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, on Monday, March 14th   from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Cliff Schell presiding. Interment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

Georgia June Lowther Foreman, 85, of Nutter Fort, passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2016 at her residence.

She was born in Quiet Dell, WV, on September 29, 1930 a daughter of the late Otis Lowther and Eva Swisher Lowther.

Her husband of 43 years, Cecil A. Foreman, preceded her in death on February 26, 2002.

Mrs. Foreman is survived by two sons, Marshall A. Foreman and his companion Margie Mauk of Chesapeake, VA, and Gregory L. Foreman and his companion Maria Del Signore of Bridgeport.

Born the eighth of nine children, she is also survived by one sister, Jean Sperling of Poquoson, Virginia; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Edgar, Robert, Steven, James and William “Bill” Lowther; and two sisters, Mary E. Shepherd and Helen V. Ferrando.

Mrs. Foreman was a graduate of Roosevelt Wilson High School and formerly worked for Hope Gas Company as an IBM Department Employee.

She was a 50 year member of the Vincent Memorial United Methodist Church where she was active in the CEOS United Methodist Women and the Lady Bugs.  She also was a member of the     Queen Esther Chapter 11 Order of Eastern Star.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, on Monday, March 14th   from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
