Dear Jenna and family, I was sorry to hear of your dad's passing. To lose both of your parents so young is hard but now they are together again in the arms of our loving Lord. This pandemic makes this additionally difficult because family and friends can not be with you in your time of sorry. I did not know your parents but they had to have been wonderful people to have raised a daughter who is so sweet, thoughtful, and always helpful to others. Sending hugs, Anita Ballard

Joe Olivito was one of the hardest working, driven athletes that I have had the privilege to be associated with. Joe was one of the two captains of the 1968 WIHS football team, along with Roger Brady, who passed away also. He was a force to be reckoned with on the field. Always intense and a fabulous leader, but also a great teacher of the game to us other players. To Billy, Rosalind and his children, I can say I’ve never met anyone that I admired more. May God give his soul and human spirit great rest.

My heartfelt sympathy to all of Joe’s family. Joe had a heart of gold and was kind to everybody. I’ll miss the many conversations we shared concerning school and Salem College football. May God bless this wonderful family at this sad time.

I am so sorry to learn of Joe’s passing... What a WONDERFUL man. This world is a better place because of him. I am so blessed to have worked with him for several years. He had a heart of gold; he always kept the “kids first” mentality and was awesome at his job until the day he retired. And what love he had for his family and those grandchildren. Joe Oliveto, you will be missed! Until we meet again...

Joe was an outstanding educator and advocate for special needs children. He never forgot that the kids are supposed to come first. I believe his dedication was sometimes undervalued. Today’s educational system desperately needs an army of Joe’s.
