Following her wishes, Karen will be cremated.   There will be a gathering for the celebration of Karen’s life, held by the family at the Bridgeport Middle School Cafeteria, 413 Johnson Avenue, Bridgeport, on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2019 at 12:00 Noon.

Karen Diane Williams Smith, 64, of Mt. Clare, WV, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019, at her residence following a brief battle with cancer.

 

She was born in Clarksburg, on August 20, 1955, a daughter of the late Clarence “Jack” and Hattie “Toots” Osenbaugh Williams.

 

Karen is survived by her husband of 19 years, John Smith, who resides at their residence in Mt. Clare.

 

Also surviving are her daughter, Jackie Williams Securo of Columbus, OH; her grandchildren, Aliyah, Logan and Dru; three sisters, Paula Kiner of Silsbee, TX, Cathy Augustine of Northview, and Sandi Williams of Milltown, WI; nieces and nephews, David Reeder, Chase, Reeder, Cameron Reeder, Maiya Reeder, and Mora Rose Reeder, Rebecca Dottellis, Gavin Dottellis, Gracelyn Dottellis, and Gandin Dottellis, Amber Kelly, Lucy Mae Dyer, Siara Bradley, Adilee Bradley and Emilee Bradley.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece, Ashley Sara.

 

Karen was a graduate of Victory High School Class of 1973. She worked as a custodian for the Harrison County Board of Education with over 20 years of service, working 10 of those years at Bridgeport High School.

 

Karen attended the Church of the Nazarene and was a cat lover.  Above all, she had a selfless giving nature, and will be sadly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

 

Following her wishes, Karen will be cremated.

 

There will be a gathering for the celebration of Karen’s life, held by the family at the Bridgeport Middle School Cafeteria, 413 Johnson Avenue, Bridgeport, on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2019 at 12:00 Noon.
