Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., where a service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Kevin Cain presiding. Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Mark Lee Harrison, 73, of Bridgeport, WV, passed away Saturday morning, January 25, 2025, while at his residence.
Mark was born on October 7, 1951 in Lost Creek, WV, a son of the late Galford Lee Harrison and Justine Ruby Henderson Tichenor.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Darlene Kerrigan Harrison, who he wed on February 27, 1974, and who passed on April 3, 2006.
Mark is survived by his three children, Leslie Brooks and husband Tracey of Morgantown, Mark L. Harrison II and wife Lindsey of Maple Lake, and Gregory Harrison of Maple Lake; seven grandchildren, Kaleigh Brooks and fiancé Cameron Cain, Tracy Brooks and wife Katya, Koby Brooks, Lindsey Rose Brooks, Anderson Mitchell, Mark L. “Tripp” Harrison III, and Tess Harrison; two sisters, Joanne Childers of Clarksburg and Donna Snyder of Delaware; several nieces and nephews including his niece, Stephanie Fain and husband Brian of Mt. Clare; his faithful, four-legged companion, dog Sadie; as well as his very close friend and personal caregiver, Tina Hagan.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his grandmother who raised him, Ruby Greathouse Boyles, his baby sister, Regina Lamm; great granddaughter, Gianna Kaylynn Brooks, and nephew, Gerald Reid.
Mark spent 34 years as an operator for Harrison Power station. He was a proud resident of Maple Lake for 46 years where he enjoyed his neighbors and was involved in the Maple Lake community in various ways, including serving on the board. He loved athletics and was an avid Steelers fan but also enjoyed cheering on WVU teams, Bridgeport High School teams, and any activities his children and grandchildren were involved in.
In early years, Mark and the love of his life, Linda, joined a bowling league and enjoyed dancing. Mark was always the first one on the dance floor and would dance the night away, especially when his son Greg was playing music. He was a force to be reckoned with on the pool table and shuffleboard table. Mark loved taking his family on road trip vacations, but his favorite destination was the beach.
