From the first day I met Steve many years ago, he was like an old friend. Steve had such an easy way about him and treated people like dear friends. He often came to our home to help his brother, Ed, who I would have working on some project or another and it was entertaining from the start as they sniped at one another like only brothers can do. Steve was generous with his time and was always so much fun to be around. We had a lot of great times just talking and laughing. His passing saddens me when I realize his big personality is missing from my life. I can only imagine how devastated you, his family, have to be. Please know that you all are in my continuing prayers.

Steve was a great guy! Played softball against him back in the day. Taught a couple of his kids at West Milford. He was always glad to see you. My sympathies to the family. God bless and Rest In Peace Steve. ?

Steve and I were the best of friends up until the time they relocated to WV. He could throw a snowball with the strength and accuracy of a Professional pitcher. Almost 50 years had passed since we reconnected via social media but we chatted like 0 years had passed. I have told the story of the pet monkey more times than I can recall. Every year we would search the woods for it hoping to find it somewhere along Bevan road. I pray you have reconnected with that funny Pet. Rest in Peace My Friend. Jim Vitous
