I had a pleasure to have spent some quality time the last few weeks with Mom. It wasn't a lot of time, but God did make it so Mom and I could spend some good quality time together. We even shared a few laughs over her pets and just life in general. She was all about her family and everyone who had stepped though her doors were welcome and was made part of the family. She displayed the love and forgiveness as Jesus taught us. She was the rock of the family that kept everything together. She was always there for my brother and I and all her grandchildren. Even into adulthood, she was always there. Did we agree on everything? Of course not! We had our moments. Everybody does! But in recent months, we did become closer. Mom, we will all miss you! The calls, the texts, and the visits! But you are no longer suffering on this earth. For your body on Earth was only temporary. You have a glorified body now, for the Prophet Isaiah promises that you "will leap like a deer!" In 2 Corinthians 5:8, The Apostle Paul states that to be absent in the Body, Present with the Lord.” And we take great comfort knowing that you have now passed on to glory. Jesus was there waiting with open arms on Saturday morning! We just know that after spending time with Jesus. You were also greeted by Steve, Dad, Grandma, Uncle Leo and all of those who passed before you. For us left here on Earth, we need to learn how to forgive and to love each other as Jesus and Mom taught us. For we do not know when our life on Earth may end. By then, it will be too late! So, learn to forgive and to love each other. I truly believe that this is what Mom would want as well as Steve and most importantly, Jesus! Our loss is definitely Heaven's gain! Love you, Mom, David and Peggy Thompson
