Per her request Janet will be cremated. Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV on Wednesday, January 3, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., where a memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Roger Fontaine presiding.

Janet G. Watson Barrett, 74, of Salem, WV, passed away on Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24, 2017, at her residence, following an extended illness.
She was born in Salem, WV, on November 1, 1943, a daughter of the late Gabriel and Elfie Edgel Watson.
Janet is survived by her husband, Stanford Wayne Barrett, whom she married on July 16, 1994. Also surviving are two children, Jody Davis and wife Theresa of Hudson Falls, NY, and Jaclyn Bourdeau Bocchetti and husband Chris of Shepherdstown, WV; one stepson Jamie Brown and wife Kathy of Tiltsonville, OH; four grandchildren, Jessica Davis; Katelin Bocchetti, Vincent Bocchetti and Antonio Bocchetti; one step granddaughter, Katlyn Brown; two sisters, Julia Krafft, Hummelstown, PA; and Joanna Allen and husband Tim of Stonewood, WV; two brothers James Watson, Wallace, WV and Eugene Watson, Springfield, OH; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, June G. Watson Moore.
Janet was a graduate of Salem High School Class of 1963. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid Bingo player and loved traveling to the beach with her close friends.
Per her request Janet will be cremated.
