Joan Wilson Turner, of Nutter Fort, WV passed away peacefull on December 20, 2023
at the age of 93.

She was born September 25, 1930 in Morehead, KY a daughter of the late Marvin and Juanita Mutters Wilson.

She was married to Carl Turner who preceded her in death.

Joan was the beloved mother of Diana Jacobs and husband Don, Carla Hokanson and Melanie Davis and husband Jim. Grandmother of Amanda Zahedi and husband Hessam, Darren Mauro and wife Kim, Natalie Moore and husband Chad, Zach Davis and wife Krystal and Matt Jacobs, great grandmother to 6 great grandchildren, and mother-in-law to Jonathan Davis.

Joan was a loving mother who was always there for her children and her life’s career was devoted to helping others in need. She worked for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse caring for the elderly at Heartland of Clarksburg Nursing Home.

She also gave her services at a group home assisting with the nursing needs of the developmentally disabled.

She was a private duty nurse after her retirement until she was 80 years old.

The family would like to thank Elison of Maplewood Assisted Living and United Hospital Center for their excellent care.

In keeping with her wishes, Joan will be cremated. A private service will be held by the family.
