It was such a blessing and a privilege to know Beth, through her presence with Thom at the WV Veterans Nursing Facility, providing a Catholic worship service for the residents and families. I was so sorry to learn of her death, and wish her family grace and peace...

I could talk forever about how much I've been impacted by Ms. Trunzo. She was my religious ed teacher at All Saints when I was confirmed. Some of my favorite things that I learned from Ms. Trunzo: -She had us anoint one another with "May God bless you and keep you." I always use this to bless and anoint people. -She taught me to go beyond simple tolerance of other faiths, people, and traditions and to truly love and accept all people. She and Thom boldly refused any form of caving to hate. -She taught us the beauty and love in our faith, and she always sought to serve and love those around her. I visited her and Thom in the Northern Panhandle, and she suggested a cafe that was actively working to serve the community. I feel like that encapsulates the way that Ms. Trunzo loved. -My favorite memory of all time - Ms. Trunzo taught the students sign language "shadow stories" of the saints and added accompanying ASL signs for worship songs during vacation Bible school at All Saints. I started trying to learn ASL in high school and helped run much of the same worship songs and helped put together ASL-accompanied shadow stories when Ms. Trunzo retired from All Saints and moved. I always aimed to teach the way I thought she would and worked hard to make sure the ASL for our VBS theme song was as accurate as possible. One year, I saw her in the back row on the last day, and as I signed from the front, I hoped I was making her proud. At the end of the service, when I went to say hello, I asked what she thought of my signs. My heart nearly burst when Ms. Trunzo said, "Oh, I was following you!" Love you lots <3

My heart was broken to see Beth's obituary pop up on Facebook. Sending hugs and prayers to Thom and their family. There are not enough words to express my heartfelt condolences. I will never forget my days at Titusville Hospital with Thom and Beth. The place was never the same after you left. Love, Anita
