Family and friends may call at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, with the Ladies Oriental Shrine service at 7:00 pm and Eastern Star service at 7:30 pm to conclude the visitation. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11:00 am with Reverend Michael Thomas presiding. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery.

Barbara F. Daugherty Ash, 90, of Clarksburg passed away on September 1, 2026, at her residence, following a brief illness.
She was born in Richwood, WV on January 19, 1936, a daughter of the late Orville and Goldie Barnett Daugherty.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Ash whom she married on January 21, 1960.
Surviving are her two sons, Richard “Rick” Ash and his wife Eileen of Greer, SC and Ronald Ash and his wife Ernestine “Ernie” Hardesty of Bridgeport; two grandchildren Shannon Ash and Jennifer Reed and husband Richard; four great-grandchildren Madison Farris, Ethan Farris, Jacob Ash and Roland Reed; one sibling, Freddie Daugherty and wife Elaine of Good Hope and sister-in-law Linda Daugherty of Isaac Creek.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Neill R. Roger Daugherty.
Barbara was a graduate of Unidis High School, Class of 1954. She was a computer operator for Tetrick Bartlett and Company, a CPA firm. She was a member of the Eastern Star Queen Ester Chapter 11, Lady’s Oriental Shrine and Traveling Lady’s Unit and attended Vincent Memorial United Methodist Church.
