Dear Pam: I recall the many happy times when you and the folks were at church in Blacksburg. We, David and Lisa and me, were so very fond of your family. YOU were blessed and loved by two great parents and I pray that THOSE precious memories will be a comfort to you, and please remember how loved...still, you are by the many folks still in the NRV. David and I shared many years of laughter, talk of the good ole days, fishing tales, and companionship. He was always there through good times and not so good times. After he retired and I was injured in an auto accident and couldn't work anymore, he and I spent a lot of time together. He took me places and spent time with me over the years. I learned a lot from him about history, times in the Navy, and what it was like back in the 1950's and 1960's. He gave me excellent, sound business advice and always took an interest in all of my projects. He loved his wife Jeannie and his daughter Pam more than words can describe and talked about them both all the time. David and I shared our love of cats, and wildlife. We each had many bear stories to tell. But mostly he was my very dear friend and he is missed. Dave told me many times that he had a really good life.
