Family and friends may call at the Reynoldsville Baptist Church, 3043 Wilsonburg Road, Reynoldsville, WV, 26422, on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where a service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jon Hayes presiding. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Christopher Ryan Broadwater, 31, of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital, with his adoring family by his side.
Christopher was born on March 2, 1993, a son of Gregory Broadwater of Laurel Park and the late Mary “Cathy” Pernell Broadwater.
He is also survived by his loving wife and high school sweetheart, Molly Summers Broadwater, who he has cherished for 16 years.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his brother, William “Will” Broadwater and his companion Sami Sharpe of Laurel Park; sister, Samatha Hutson of Reynoldsville; two nieces, Jasmine Hutson and Willow Broadwater; nephew, Dean Broadwater; as well as many others who will miss him dearly.
Christopher was a graduate of South Harrison High School Class of 2011 and received his college education from Alderson-Broaddus College (#TeamHyphen). He was dedicated to his career as a music teacher and band director for his high school alma mater, South Harrison High School and Middle School, as well as Simpson and Johnson Elementary, and Bridgeport High School. He had a passion for music and was elated to share that with his students and used his expertise while employed at Bandland. In his spare time, he loved to camp, go geocaching, and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed being an uncle and spending time with his nieces and nephew.
He was a board member for CHIRP and was active in the “Adopt-a-Highway” program. He was a member of The Five & Dime bluegrass band, the Vocal Intensity show choir band, and was a founding member of Theta Tau Upsilon Fraternity of Music. He was a devout member of Reynoldsville Baptist Church.
