A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 126 E. Pike St, Clarksburg, WV 26301 with Father Freddie D’Souza presiding. Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Geneva Love Giaquinto, 88, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the United Hospital Center.

She was born on April 16, 1938, in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late John and Geneva Love Starkey Panther.

Surviving Geneva are one son, Eric Giaquinto of Clarksburg; one daughter, Jennifer Giaquinto Shreves and husband Douglas Martin of Bridgeport; seven grandchildren, Alaina and Sierra Shreves, Mica Love, Ean Giaquinto, Christina Edwards, Allison Martin, and Ashley Martin; one daughter-in-law, Shelly Giaquinto; and her former husband, Frank “Conky” Giaquinto.

Mrs. Giaquinto was a 1956 graduate of Victory High School where she was the captain of the cheerleading squad. She worked in the business office of Anchor Hocking for 15 years and later worked as an office manager for The Heritage Nursing Facility.
Geneva was a devoted and faithful member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She enjoyed nature, going to the beach and looking for seashells, and bowling on Wednesday evenings with the Anchorettes. She loved Christmas time and making cookies, especially galettes. Above all, she loved preparing pasta and meatballs for Sunday dinner with her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
