Obituaries

Cora Annamae Williams, 97, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at The Clarksburg Healthcare Center.

She was born in Sand Fork, WV on November 27, 1926, to the late Chester O. Nicholas and Audra Belle Jenkins Nicholas. Cora was the second youngest of 8 children.

She was married to the late Herbert McCartney with whom she raised 5 children and later to the late Roley Williams of Clarksburg, WV.

Her surviving children are David McCartney (Colleen), Marion, OH, Anita Robinson (Steve), Lumberport, WV, and Janet Wentz, Clarksburg, WV.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Marsha SanJulian and Joyce Marshall (Jack); also, one grandson, Benjamin Marshall (Erin), as well as her seven siblings.

Cora was blessed with ten grandsons and one granddaughter: Scott Marshall (Kristy), Jeffrey Marshall (Heather), Michael SanJulian (Misty), Patrick SanJulian, Shawn SanJulian (Ashley), David E. McCartney, Timothy Rapking (Misty), Joseph Robinson, Jeremy Wentz (Christie), and Lori Kingston (Michael) as well as 18 great grandchildren.

She will be cremated and laid to rest at Law Chapel. A graveside memorial service will be held in the early Fall.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Clarksburg Healthcare Center on the second floor for their loving care during her time at the nursing home.
