Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bryant Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in the Lumberport Lion’s Club Cemetery

Dale Lee Sturm, 75, of Clarksburg, passed away at his residence on Friday, July 12, 2024, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Nancy Lynn Clevenger Sturm, who he married on July 7, 1997.

Mr. Sturm was born on November 11, 1948, in Anmoore, WV, a son of the late Glen and Clara Queen Sturm In addition to his wife, he is survived by his five daughters, Katrina Riggs and her husband David of Aurora, IN, Bridget Blank and her husband Jeff of Indianapolis, IN, Carey McIntyre-Davis of Clarksburg, Jodee Hensley and her husband Cliff of Elkins, and Misty Delgado and her husband Ed of Sardis; his two sons, Christopher Atkins of FL and Chad McIntyre and his wife Melissa of Nutter Fort; 30 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; his sister, Bernandine Smith and her husband Gordon of Purump, NV; and sister-in-law, Judy Sturm of Clarksburg

He was preceded in death by his brother, Glen R. Sturm

Dale was a graduate of Victory High School Class of 1966 and attended Fairmont State College after. He was a contractor and carpenter and was the business owner of Sturm Construction. In recent years he was unable to attend church but loved supporting the Little Rock Camp Baptist Church and the United Technical Center electrical program.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in his memory to the WVU Hospice, 2673 Davisson Run Road, Clarksburg, WV, 26301.
