Dear Laraine: I was so sorry to learn of Denny\'s passing. I will be sure to share the obituary notice with my daughter, Kristin, so she can give it to her father, Don Helmick. I remember Denny so well when he and Don were students at the R.E.T.S. in Baltimore. I also remember seeing you both at the Dutchman\'s Daughter restaurant here in Fairmont when I first returned to WV in the late 90\'s. You were blessed with a long marriage and those memories are surely cherished by you. May God bless and comfort you and your family at this difficult time of loss. Katie

Denny was just one of those friends. ..no matter how long in between visits he was always the same. A good friend to us and our children. His faith in God always broke through the surface. Rest in peace friend.

I am so sorry to here about your loss. I have alot of great childhood memories being around Denny and your entire family. Denny was always a funny guy and I enjoyed being around him. He was sometimes to easy on me and Clay, but you could always depend on Laraine to straighten us out . I knew that he was a Veteran and received a Purple Heart but I never knew that he received the bronze star. That makes me proud to be a fellow Veteran and to have known him. Denny will definitely be missed, thoughts and prayers to your whole family.

Lorraine, Clay and April...It has been a long time since we have been together but Maureen and I have great memories of your father and husband. Denny was a friend and dedicated member of the church. I pray that God will bring all of you comfort knowing that Denny's faith was strong. May you feel God's presence during your grief. Now I hope that this puts a smile on your face...Lorraine, you can probably remember this...One time Denny twisted my chain so much that I cussed while standing in the foyer of the church. Denny thought it was funny and never let me forget it. Blessings on all of you. ~ PJ & Maureen
