Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm to conclude the visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 10:00 am at the St. James Catholic Church, 2107 Pride Avenue, Clarksburg with Father Casey Mahone as celebrant. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Dolores Jean Thomas Booth, 84, of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Clarksburg on November 17, 1939, a daughter of the late Lewis R. and Mary Urtso Thomas.
Surviving are two sisters, Patricia “Patty” (formerly Kimble) Ritter and her husband Richard of Clarksburg and Mary Ann Goodwin and her husband Lowell of Clarksburg; seven nieces and nephews, Scott Goodwin, Darren Goodwin and his wife Maurine and Amber Goodwin, Jeff Kimble and his wife Laura, Kelly Kimble and Rick Kimble, and Katrina Gallagher and her husband Brian; nine great nieces and great nephews, Savannah, Zak and Lilah Kimble, Davis Kimble, Jess Davis, Nick and Zane Gallagher, and Tyler and Sydney Goodwin.
She was also preceded in death by one nephew, David Goodwin.
Mrs. Booth was a 1957 graduate of Victory High School and was a retired office manager with the IRS. She was a member of the St. James Catholic Church and was a faithful watcher of EWTN.
Dolores was a thoughtful, selfless woman who always considered her family’s needs first and was good to her neighbors. She enjoyed cooking for her family and will be remembered as a great cook. She loved family gatherings and took her role as the “family photographer” seriously, making sure to always capture their moments spent together. She enjoyed crocheting and loved playing Words with Friends.
The family of Ms. Booth asks that faithful Catholics earnestly pray an Our Father, a Hail Mary, and a Glory Be for the soul of Dolores Jean Booth.
