On October 26th, our dearest, most loving wife, mother and grandmother, Donna Evans peacefully stepped into heaven into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior – Jesus. After many years of prolonged illness, Donna’s body was tired but her faith was never shaken. She decided it was her time to stop struggling through dialysis and chronic medical obstacles to join the band of angels. Until her last breath, Donna praised God and looked to him lovingly.

Anyone who knew her knew she lived every part of her life with love. You never saw Donna without a smile or a kind word to share. She not only loved God but strove in all she did to honor him in the way she lived. In the biblical scripture of Corinthians, love is defined for us. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. You can replace the word love with Donna. She was an authentic, living example of love.

She was also a generous, soft hearted and incredibly loving mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. She shared 47 years married to her life partner, William ‘Gary’ Evans. Together they raised three children – Troy, partner to Candice, Roger, husband to Brandy and their baby, Desiree, partner to Donald. They have seven grandchildren – Kacey, Micheyla, and Camron Evans, Faithlynn, Gabriel and Christian Ferrell and Owen Swann. More recently, Gary and Donna welcomed a darling great grand baby, Moriah, born to Micheyla and her partner Cody. They both were overjoyed for their granddaughter Kacey and her fiancé Carlos to bring a great grandson into their family in February.

Gary and Donna’s love and devotion to each other, through sickness and health, never wavered. They made joyful memories too numerous to count with their family and friends. Their door was always open for anyone to come in and be welcomed with warmth and humor, up to and even until Donna drew her last breath. Donna’s joy was not found in earthly riches, but in people. She cherished her family, all while having an abundance of love for anyone fortunate enough to know her.

Donna was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Walter and Velma Crites, her biological parents, Donald and Doris Reynolds and her siblings, Janet, Kimberly, Kathy and Johnny Reynolds. She is survived by her siblings Jeffrey Reynolds, Jackie Mayne and Debbie Short.

Although it seems impossible knowing how to proceed without her, we will rejoice knowing she is eternally without pain, at peace and reunited in the greatest love with all those who have gone before her.
