Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 5:00 p.m. with Reverend Tim Sandy presiding.  Interment will follow in the Hardman Cemetery.

Richard Wayne Dodd, 61, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the United Hospital Center following an extended illness.

He was born in Clarksburg, WV, on September 2, 1962, a son of the late John J. and Margie Lamp Dodd.

Richard is survived by his significant other of 36 years, Hellin Davis, who resides at their home in Clarksburg.

He is also survived by one son, Michael Davis and his significant other, Kari of Hepzibah, one daughter, Crystal Starkey of Sardis, two grandchildren which he and Hellin were raising, Dalton W. Dodd and Anthony M. Dodd, five grandchildren, Levi Starkey and Jenna, Chase Starkey and Leah, Mikah Jo Davis, Nadalin Davis, and Kash Davis.   He also leaves behind three sisters, Linda Dodd of Sardis, Leona Stevens and husband Ted of Reynoldsville, and Rosalie Dodd of Reynoldsville; one brother, Tom Dodd of Wilsonburg, and brother-in-law, Roger Dodd of Marshville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Lloyd Dodd, his sister, Patricia Dodd and his brother, John Dodd.

Richard was a member of the Higher Rock Church.  He loved tinkering with cars, attending car shows, Harley Davidsons, and enjoyed camping.
