He is survived by his two children, Kayla “Hazel” Pumphrey of Clarksburg and Erica Turner and her husband Anthony of NC; eight grandchildren, Jazzlynn Pumphrey who he raised as his daughter and affectionately referred to as his “Babygirl”, Randy and Dalton Jenkins, Jyhiem and Amarion Turner, Brody and Jacob Rosser, and Jaylynn Pumphrey; siblings, Aubrey Pumphrey and his wife Emmy of Reynoldsville, Joyce Campbell and her husband Sam of Parkersburg, David Pumphrey of PA, Helen Madia and her husband Leonard of Clarksburg, Kim Hart and her husband Rick of Salem, Junior Pumphrey and his girlfriend Ashley of Clarksburg, and Danny Pumphrey and his wife Crystal of Clarksburg; his fiance, Debra “Debbie” Vore of Clarksburg; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Paul Pumphrey and his brother, Fay Patrick Pumphrey.

Jeff was a hard worker from a young age and will be remembered for his strength and being tough. He held numerous positions throughout his working life but was most recently employed by the 798 Union Pipeline as a pipe fitter and welder’s assistant. He was as dedicated to his family as he was to his work and was always someone his family could rely on. He was especially a wonderful dad and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching Westerns in his free time. He was a gifted storyteller and loved to laugh. He had a beautiful smile to match his blue eyes. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
