I only found out about Kayla's passing yesterday. I'm still in disbelief. I hadn't seen her in quite a few years and I deeply regret not staying in contact. Kayla was one of the most beautiful people I ever met. I'll never forget the first time I met her in high school, she was completely and utterly unique. She helped me through a lot and as other people have said she was truly genuine and kind. She was also one of the most intelligent people I've ever known; in high school she always carried a book in her purse. She was a special person and was so deserving of happiness, I can find some solace in knowing she is in a better place. I just wanted to pay my respects and convey my deepest sympathy to her family. I am so very sorry for your loss.

I am so, so sorry to hear of Kayla’s passing. I’d only seen her once in the past ~15 years, which I regret. We were friends in high school and something I can say without a grain of hyperbole is that she was one of the nicest, most genuinely good people I’ve ever known. Leaving three kids behind is very, very rough and regardless of whether they see this, I can say wholeheartedly that their mom loved them with all of her heart and is like to offer my condolences, which I’m sure mean little, and I’m sorry I can’t do more. I hope they grow up to be well-adjusted young men and if they have 1/2 of the compassion and kindness their mother had I think they’ll be great people as well. RIP, Kayla, I hope you’re in a better place.

Kayla was an awesome person and just a joy to be around. We had so much fun over all the years, from getting into trouble together, to going to the beach, to just hanging out at grandma’s. I will always love you Kay. John and I are praying for the family. ?????? I won’t be able to be there tomorrow for your memorial but I’m there in spirit. I love you all so much.

Our hearts grieve with yours at the loss of a child, a beautiful daughter who had so much life ahead of her. Our prayers and thoughts are with you daily during this very difficult time.

I WORKED WITH KAYLA AT THE TEXAS ROADHOUSE, DID NOT KNOW HER VERY WELL SINCE SHE WAS A NEW SERVER. I JUST WANTED TO LET THE FAMILY KNOW I AM KEEPING YOU ALL IN PRAYER.
