Marchetta Ann Moats Huffman, 89, passed away at home in Clarksburg, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. She was born in Nutter Fort, West Virginia, on June 28, 1935. She graduated from Victory High School in 1953, where she was a proud member of the Majorette team. She met William Ross Huffman and married him in 1954. They moved to California with their daughter, Louann in 1959, and later had a son, William Ross Huffman II in 1965. She worked for Pacific Bell Telephone Company and retired after more than 40 years of service. In 1999, she returned to West Virginia with her family, where she enjoyed attending high school reunions and volunteering at the VFW. She made many trips in these years to visit California, and truly enjoyed traveling across the country. She was adored by those who knew her and will be greatly missed by her family who loved her dearly. She truly was an angel on earth. She is survived by her daughter, Louann of Clarksburg; son Bill of Clarksburg; granddaughter Destiny Fisher (and husband Shane) of Weston; granddaughter Cortiney Goehner of Clarksburg; and great grandchildren Gage Fisher (and Savannah) of Weston, Marley Fisher of Morgantown, and Chance Goehner of Clarksburg.
