Just learned of Edsil's passing. So very sorry. Edsil and I were big buddies at St. Albans post office. Great friend and great Christian. Since I am from Grantsville I knew all the Hershman family.

A great man and the kind of life to strive for! I’m certain that Jesus welcomed him with a “well done, good and faithful servant, welcome home!”

Laverne, Regina and Bragg family. Rev Bragg's time spent on this earth was spent well, that of loving his family and friends as well as serving God's children he was entrusted with. He was an extremely effective minister due to his passion for truly "pastoring" the sheep God asked him to shepherd. We became friends with the Bragg family during his assignment to North View United Methodist Church. His pastor's heart and open arms and his administrative skills brought much needed growth in our church. He had an effectively beautiful way of presenting God's word to us. We thank God for placing Rev Bragg in our lives. He truly made a difference in the lives of so many sheep. We know we will see him again in Heaven one fine day! God bless and keep you. The Jack&Sammy Nichols Family.

Sorry I found out late about Edsil's passing. Many years ago, when he was at First Church in Clarksburg we became very good friends. I fondly recall a trip we took in my Volkswagon van to a comune in PA. For some reason we fit right in and enjoyed sharing the day. Another time I took him up on his sheep shearing abilities and we went to a friend of mines farm. Edsil impressed us all, quickly shearing the sheep with pleanty time to share the gospel. Our friendship continued over the years though our paths rarely passed. His influence made a difference in my life.

Lovern and family, I would like to express my sympathy to you in the passing of Edsil. He was a wonderful person and minister. As a former pastor and wife, it was Fourth Avenue's privilege to be blessed with your time spent serving the needs of our people. Both of you were very special to me and I have always kept you close with the great memories I have of our time together. My prayer is that God will surround you and your family in the days ahead with comfort, peace and love. Love and prayers, Phyllis
