Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Richard Settles presiding.   Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Steven Brian Thompson, 44, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness.

 

He was born in Clarksburg, WV, on March 20, 1975, a son of Edward Martin and Dora Amelia Armstrong Thompson of Summit Park.

 

Steven is survived by his fiancé, Nicole Marie Haddix; two sons, Steven Andrew Thompson of Summit Park, and Hunter Douglas Thompson of Summit Park; two step-daughters, Adalynn Minks, and Hannah Nicole Collins and step-son, Ayden Minks.  Also surviving are two brothers, David Martin Thompson and wife Peggy of Elkins, WV, and Michael Richard Thompson of Clarksburg; two nieces, Chastity and Chelsie; three nephews, Derek, Troy and David Junior; six great nieces Aleecia, Cassandra, Jessika, Taylah, Keri-May, and Aubreiona; one great nephew, Bubby; his sister-in-law, Courtney Gordon; as well as one uncle and three aunts.

 

Steven graduated from Washington Irving High School in 1993 and attended WV Jr. College.  He was the Project Manager for Citynet with 15 years of service.

 

Steven was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. and loved fishing, hunting and woodworking.  He was an avid fan of West Virginia University.  He helped organize the annual Summit Park Homecoming and loved playing Santa Claus for the little children.  Steven truly was all about family and bringing laughter to everyone.
