It was a true privilege getting to know Wakem during my frequent visits to the coffee shop. The coffee was great, but what kept me coming back hearing his amazing stories of life and service. I once commented on the beauty of his woodwork. Out of the blue, he gifted me a cutting board which is used almost daily in my home. I appreciate his example and his friendship.

When I was 11 yrs. old, my Dad passed away and people being people understandably shied away. The Simon\'s however opened their hearts and home to me without hesitation. My heart healed a great deal just being a part of this special family. And by the way I would get yelled at just like everyone else...Flory, Wakie, Judy and JImmy ...please accept my sincere thanks for sharing your home and parents with me. You carry the beauty of their hearts in yours!! Love always, Libby
