Esther was one of my \"advisors\" and a mentor when I attended WV Wesleyan working toward my Early Childhood certification. Throughout the years, she gave me encouragement. Sometimes, she would visit my classroom while she served on The Board of Directors of the Head Start program in Upshur County. She was also my Delta Kappa Gamma sister. When my own mother was passing away with heart failure, she was there at the hospital, giving me a hug and telling me that it would be hard but I would get through it. My heart hurt as I heard the news of her passing. I was very blessed to have known her!

Miss Wilmoth was my adviser at WVWC (class of 1974). She was one of the kindest people I have ever known. I used so many of her ideas during my 44 years of teaching kindergarten for Fayette County Schools WV.

I knew Mrs. Dyer as Miss Wilmoth, when she was my Kindergarten teacher at WVWC's Child Development Center, and I'm very sorry to hear of her passing. She was patient and caring, and clearly knew how important it was to help little ones get a good start in their very first school experience. Sending condolences to her loved ones.

I graduated WVWC in 1975 with a major in Christian Education. Miss Wilmoth (as we then knew her) was the first professor I ever had in Christian Education. I also worked with her over the years as an intern in the Child Development Center. We also became good friends over the years as I grew in ministry. I learned so much from her and always appreciated the encouragement and guidance she gave to all of us as her students. She was truly one of my many mentors. May she rest in peace with the fellowship of the saints. + Dr. Roy Knight

A dear sweet lady whom I have known since my college days at Wesleyan and later as the mother of two kindergarteners who attended Wesleyan's CDC under her direction as Miss Wilmoth. We also worked together as members of FUMC Buckhannon. I have many good memories of Esther.
