Reading Ronnie's obituary filled us with great sadness. We didn't know that he had been having problems. He was the best neighbor/friend anyone could ever have. He was talented in so many areas and always was willing to help in any way that he could. He was always such a hard worker and so proud of his family. He leaves a big void in the hearts of many. May he rest in peace. Love and prayers to all of his family.

I was so heartbroken to hear of the passing of Ronnie. The Butchers' are family to me. Ronnie was like a brother and I so enjoyed many conversations with him. He spent many hours at my parents eating a meal or watching television with them. He loved my moms' cooking. He took my dad to the grocery store when needed and was there for them. On my last visit to Clarksburg a few months ago I visited Ronnie; at first he didn't know me and when he did remember he gave me the biggest kiss. It was a moment I will never forget to see the expression of excitement on his face. I know Ronnie is with the Lord and in a better place. My deepest sympathy to all the family and friends. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Love to you all! Julia

To many of the guys in and around PK he was also known as Uncle Ronnie. This was true whether you were related or not. Uncle Ronnie didn’t know a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone. He often came out in the middle of summer to play basketball with all us teenagers. Even though he was a good 25 years older than any of us he still hung in there. After chopping an arm or elbowing the stomach, his face would be all smiles, hands in the air, saying what’s wrong Lovey or he’d refer to us as buck and tell us that we needed to toughen up. Uncle Ronnie was a special guy that loved and treasured his family and friends. I will always remember his funny humor and kind heart. You will be missed Uncle Ronnie!
